Streamline Your Land Development Workflow with Landstack's "My Sites"

In the ever-changing environment of development land and real estate it can be hard to keep track of what’s happening with your sites. The newly improved ‘My Sites’ on Landstack helps our users organise their sites and easily manage workflows.

In this blog post, we'll explore the innovative features of this update and how it integrates into your strategic processes with Landstack.

Introducing Categories for Enhanced Organisation

The journey to streamline your workflow begins with categorisation. Landstack encourages users to create categories based on the different stages of site development, which not only helps in organizing sites more effectively but also serves as column headers in the "My Sites" Kanban view. This categorisation process is straightforward:

  1. Start from your home screen and locate the cogs icon in the top right corner.

  2. Clicking on this will reveal a dropdown menu, where you'll select "Site Categories".

  3. Once your categories are set up, they will appear as options in a dropdown menu whenever you save sites, allowing for easy categorisation.

Diverse Views for Different Needs

With your categories in place, accessing and managing your sites becomes a breeze in "My Sites". You have the flexibility to view your sites in either a list view or a Kanban view, with simple toggle options available for switching between these views:

  • List View: Displays sites with the most recently saved site at the top. You can reorder the sites by clicking on any column header.

  • Kanban View: Organises sites by categories, enabling you to move sites through the development process with a simple drag-and-drop action. To align the view with your company's process, you can sort the columns accordingly, with the top-to-bottom order reflecting left to right in your headers.

Tagging for Custom Identifiers

The new tagging feature in "My Sites" adds another layer of customisation, allowing you to tag sites with identifiers such as project names, tasks, or key staff members. Adding tags is intuitive:

  • Select "Edit Site" to access a site card where you can update details and add tags by clicking the plus sign.

  • Existing tags can be amended by clicking the pencil icon next to the tag, where you can edit the name and colour.

Bulk Editing for Efficiency

In response to user feedback, Landstack has introduced the ability to edit multiple sites simultaneously. This bulk editing feature, accessible from the list view, enhances your workflow by enabling you to change the categories of selected sites or to add or remove tags in bulk.

The addition of advanced filtering capabilities means that organising your workflow has never been easier. New filters include tags, mapped by, and creation date, among others.

This feature is particularly useful for grouping sites linked to specific projects, such as those tagged with "solar projects".
